Garden Clubs, 4-H groups, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, Church and Civic groups have enjoyed Bobbie’s programs. Whether they are listening to a presentation on some aspect of the life of a gourd or are actively engaged in a craft to be made from a gourd, Bobbie is constantly educating the participants about this interesting vessel.
Large Groups
If you have a group of five or more people Bobbie will bring her program to you if you cannot make it to the farm.
Gourding in the Barn
At The Wright Place, 2406 Bradenbaugh Road, Ben and Bobbie have an area in their barn for Gourding in the Barn. Outside you can visit the A-frames of gourd plants and watch them grow and bear fruit. Ben has graciously given Bobbie an area in the barn for her educational programs. At The Barn you will be given a card to be stamped on your first craft program. If you come back for other craft programs we will stamp your card each time. After five craft programs, the sixth one is free.
Crafting Workshop
Pictures of possible crafts to be completed during a two-hour program are included on this website. Viewers may choose a craft to do and call Bobbie to set a date and time (410-452-8643).
Workshop Coordinators
If you would like to be the coordinator of a craft program at the farm for a group of fifteen of your friends call 410-452-8643 and speak to Bobbie. The Landing offers coordinators a stipend for their help in setting up craft programs. Also, you will find pictures of craft programs for each month. Adult and Mommy and Me crafts are offered at specific times. The adult classes are centered around ages 15 and older. The Mommy and Me classes are for age 3 to 6. Sign up through The Store on this website for these craft programs. Children in the category of 7 – 14 can be accommodated with age appropriate programs. Call Bobbie (410-452-8643) to set up a special class.
There will not be birthday party programs at The Barn. Bobbie will come to your home with a program for a birthday party.
